The George is a traditional local, with a lovely garden, large covered, heated, Smoking area, serving great beer and famous for live (and FREE!) music.

Rock and Blues on Friday's, acoustic nights most Saturday's, plus regular folk, both Irish and English Traditional.

No slot machines and, sorry, no food! Just quiet, friendly conversation and the best (FREE!) local music in town. Sky Sports is available in the "Back Room".

The George is also known for its community and charity support. We host the much loved Woolley Festival, are top fund raisers for the local branch of MENCAP and the focal point for the "Friends of Woolley" supporting the welfare of our local conservation area.
